Which made a good excuse to go Salt Tapas.
Flat Bread
Their lunch set came with flat bread plus 3 tapas per pax was pretty tempting for 2 hungry people and we went for it. The flat bread with romesco started the meal on a right note immediately. Love how nutty the romesco was. Absolutely yummy.
Parmesan and Truffle Fries
Read good things about their truffle fries. While we prefer a more distinct truffle scent we like how these babies managed to stay crispy throughout the meal.
Tuna Tartare
Tuna tartare was an afterthought but we were glad we ordered it. Love the refreshing flavours against some other stuff which were overly-salted.
Crispy Soft Shell Prawns
Such as the prawns. Nice but way too salty. We did not manage to clean this plate up.
Veal and Pork Meatballs
Meatballs were really tender and nicely seasoned. It's no wonder so many people rave about this.
Rocket, Parmesan, Walnuts and Pear Salad
Rocket with parmesan never goes wrong for me. Love the bits of pear in this
Wagyu Sausage
Too heavy in seasoning, taste and texture, the wagyu sausage itself was the least enjoyable part of a very enjoyable meal. Thankfully it sat on a bed of delightful polenta which we polished off everything without effort.
Salt Tapas & Bar was noisy, busy and full of energy on a technically sleepy and rainy weekday. It is not difficult to see why. Don't think we need any excuse to drop by anytime soon.
