Petuna Ocean Trout
It is not difficult to like Pollen. Its setting, its style, its location and most importantly, its food. Our starter of petuna ocean trout was as delectable as its appearance.
Slow Cook Egg
Slow cook egg was silky and mellow. Delicious with chorizo.
Roasted Pork Belly
Fatty-but-not-at-all-oily pork belly. A cliche description of pork belly done well but it was sure the case.
Its gravy, while too salty for my palate, was tasty and went harmoniously with the most delicious broad beans I ever had. I actually came back twice for the beans!!

Roasted Cod
Roasted cod was boringly delicious. Can only blame myself for such a sucker for oily fish.
PB&J
Ask and you shall get. I asked for PB&J although it was not in their set lunch menu. And I got it. Thumbs up for great service. Two thumbs up for the complex yet complementary flavours and textures of peanut butter and cherry yuzu sorbet in this pretty dessert.

Coconut Mousse and Goat Cheese Ice-Cream
The goat cheese ice-cream took some getting used to but the coconut mousse and rhubarb broth were interesting nevertheless.

Petit Fours
Finally, ended the meal with some outstanding sweet bites. As usual, we took a walk round the Flower Dome after lunch and I ended up with more photos!
I love Pollen. Great food, wonderful location and excellent setting! If nothing goes wrong, Pollen will probably be my fave new restaurant of 2012!

Pollen didn't quite do for me. Sad to say, it's difficult for me to like Pollen. The mini Magnum bar was very yummy though, but that's about it.
went to Pollen last mth and tried the same food as you :) Kinda like it.
Ice: Oh I actually like what I ate a lot with the exception of some overly salty stuff hee hee.
Eileen: Glad you did :)
